BPA Worldwide's board of directors has unanimously agreed to freeze audit rates and dues at July 2008 levels to aid publishers facing significant ad revenue declines and a beat-up economy that continues to make forecasting difficult. ABM also just announced ad pages fell 30 percent through the first half of 2009, a factor that has publishers scrambling to manage costs.

BPA offers bundled package for print, event and online audits at no additional cost. In a shift toward total brand metrics, BPA Worldwide now bundles enhanced website traffic measurement with their members’ print and trade show audits without increasing their existing dues and fees. BPA web-only members can now include print or events in the same bundled package. Essentially, BPA members around the world will now have near real-time online reporting of audited web activity included with circulation audit of print products and attendance at exhibitions or events.

Petroleum Africa Magazine, published out of Africa since 2003, has applied for membership with BPA Worldwide. With offices in Cairo, Egypt; Accra, Ghana; Nairobi, Kenya; and Lagos, Nigeria, it is the first publication covering the energy sector in Africa to apply for BPA circulation and website traffic audit.
